Sole and heel edges – Case #153

November 20, 2013

“A picture is worth a thousand words”. Practical solutions to problems encountered in the manufacturing process that demonstrate how we assist our customers’ factories to produce Right from the Start TM.

Problem: Sole edges didn’t match the heel because the factory used the wrong outsole cutting die. To try and solve this problem, they used a knife to trim the excess of sole manually, which ended up damaging the PU grain and sole edges.

Impactiva solution: we recommended the factory to make a new cutting die to re-cut and trim the excess sole at the heel point. This dramatically improved the aesthetic look.
